Justice for Megan Meier
Online bullies are, unfortunately, a way of life if you lead any sort of public presence on the Internet.
Anonymity is the online coward's cudgel and, unfortunately, Megan Meier lost her life to an Internet bully setting out to hurt her:The classic girl-meets-boy story that turned terribly wrong in October 2006, when 13-year-old Megan Meier hanged herself in her bedroom closet, will have serious consequences on the person responsible for it. Lori Drew was indicted by a federal grand jury for creating a MySpace account to interact with Megan and drive her to despair. The woman was charged on one count of conspiracy and three counts of accessing protected computers without authorization to obtain information that caused the young girl emotional distress.
We mourn Megan Meier and her unfortunate death -- but we certainly celebrate the hammer of justice that will punish a wanton mother who purposefully set out to destroy a young woman's life in the blossom of her promise.
We cannot wait for Lori Drew to wither and die in the penitentiary -- anonymous no longer -- but cowardly forever.

What a sad story. That woman will have to pay for this.
